A film following Falkirk based reggae artist iBrina on a journey of self-expression, reclamation and empowerment.

Subrina Ward, aka iBrina, is a Jamaican reggae artist based in Falkirk.

Omar said: “The film draws from performance footage and conversational interviews to illuminate iBrina’s creative workflow and practice as well as her connection to Scotland.”

Omar is a musician and filmmaker from Stirlingshire with a background in film and TV.

He studied music technology BSc at the UWS before working on film and television productions including Taggart, Rebus, Perfect Sense and Stone of Destiny.

Omar's artistic endeavours include his work in music as a guitarist, electric bassist, synth player and producer.

This shared passion for music and film has been a driving force towards making music videos and live performance films in collaboration with local musicians and organisations.
