About Culture Night Stirling 2027
An annual night of culture across Stirling: music, art, crafts, literature, dance, drama, comedy and more. It brings together communities and sectors, from arts and heritage to hospitality, tourism, health and business, to celebrate culture and grow Stirling’s night time offer.
When: Friday 30 April 2027, 6pm to midnight.
Where: Stirling city centre and the wider Stirling area.
Who for: As a night time event, the main focus is adults, and most funding will go to events for adults. There is a small amount of funding for all ages activity between 6pm and 8pm.
Why: To support the night time economy and Stirling’s creatives, with a vibrant night out that is free to attend and gives visitors more reasons to stay overnight.
What we are looking for
All kinds of performance, especially work that explores folklore, myth and legend, or this year’s theme, Forest of the Unicorn.
Activity suited to a mainly adult audience, in the evening and late at night.
Something new, unusual or unexpected, rooted in Stirling.
Grants
There are two grant sizes. You can apply for one grant per organisation or group.
Level 1: up to £750. A single performance, pop up, installation or intervention.
Level 2: up to £2,500. A bigger piece, several artists together, or a venue takeover.

How we decide
A small panel scores each idea on four things, and also looks at the programme as a whole: art forms, places and times across the night.
Theme: how it responds to Forest of the Unicorn.
The night: how well it supports the night time economy, keeping people happily out late in Stirling and the surrounding area.
Something new: how new or experimental it is.
Delivery: whether it can be delivered, with a realistic budget and fair pay.
