Artlink Central is a growing and forward-thinking charity working across all arts forms and uses evidence based practice to produce artist-led participatory programmes that support people with disabilities, people experiencing mental health issues or from excluded communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team who implement and support our work in Forth Valley; Stirlingshire, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire.

· This is a key role for the well running of the organisation, requiring the ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and the capacity to self-manage whilst working remotely.

· The post-holder will be the first point of contact for the many professionals who contact Artlink Central with queries about our services. In addition, the provision of quality office and admin support is essential to support the team to deliver services.

· An important element of the role will be to offer day-to-day administrative support to the Director to manage his busy diary, workload, meetings and contract delivery.

· The role can be flexible with regards to hours and days of work and with this in mind it may suit someone who is looking for a new challenge offering good work/life balance.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and the ability to use their own initiative whilst contributing effectively in a team. Sound knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365, a clean driving licence and using and managing databases are essential.

You will be an experienced administration professional with high levels of work efficacy as this role requires someone who is a natural organiser who understands how to prioritise workload in a reactive environment. Ideally you will have experience of working in a similar role. Due to the pandemic the team are currently being asked to work at home, therefore suitable candidates will have the capacity to do this in an appropriate working environment.

NB: This is a work from home position with Zoom/Teams and occasional face to face meetings with other members of the team. However, he post-holder will receive regular support and supervision from the Director, General Manager or another senior member of staff.

Essential Skills

· Ability to work in an extremely busy, fast paced office in an administrative and customer facing role

· Excellent office skills and experience working with spreadsheets, mailing lists, mail-shots and databases

· Excellent customer-service and communication skills -the ability to deal with enquiries in a professional manner

· Exceptional organisation skills with attention to detail and deadlines

· Ability to work independently and as a team member

· Ability to meet tight deadlines and turnaround times under pressure

· Ability to use own initiative and organise own work

· Experience of Microsoft Word, 365, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel

· An understanding of time management and the ability to prioritise effectively

· Contribute to your own learning and professional development within the role

· Clean driving licence and access to a car

Desirable

· Use of digital social media: Instagram, Facebook and website maintenance, Squarespace

· Experience of online work flow planning apps e.g. Mondays, Slack

· An understanding of Health and Safety issues in the workplace

· Experience in the creation and distribution of a newsletter and e-bulletins

· Use of Excel including formulas to assist with creating and updating financial reports

· Understanding of the voluntary and third sector

· An interest in the arts
