Call FOR ARTIST / Designer
Brief : Supply of hoarding graphics for new hoarding on Station Approach in Stirling
Background:
Stirling Council and Scene Stirling, Stirling’s Place Partnership, are collaborating with City Dressing to create a series of exciting and potentially interactive art installations in the city centre. The aim is to enhance the resident and visitor experience, by addressing some of the challenges of a busy and changing city centre. The work supports the vision for Stirling’s thriving culture and arts scene, as well as contributing to Stirling Council’s commitment towards a Dementia Friendly City.
The Station Approach site has been identified as a key priority area. The aim is to smarten up the site and refresh it so it is an attractive first view of Stirling
The main issue with the existing site is the hoarding running down the edge of the site. This hoarding is being replaced with a new structure and we are looking to work with local artists to create designs to go on the hoarding.
Design Brief:
Hoarding is 2.44m high and 30m long
It runs the entire length of the Station Approach park.
The new hoarding will have a flat surface which will be adding the graphic too.
Client request is for a timeline of Stirling charting its history.
Output will be artwork files ready to print. High res PDF’s preferable.
The hoarding will focus on the time theme, but should equally also be playful and engaging for all ages.
Access to the timeline should be considered both in terms of the design itself and how it is viewed.
