STIRLING STORIES BROUGHT TO LIFE BY NEW TOLBOOTH SERIES

Five inspiring stories from Stirling will be showcased in a series of online talks designed to instil pride in the local area.

Tolbooth Talks will feature a diverse array of speakers from Stirlingshire, including actor Mirren Mack who recently starred in hit BBC One drama The Nest.

Here’s the full line-up:

Talk 1

On Thursday 4 June we’ll be joined by author and Stirling Council Archaeologist Dr Murray Cook. He’ll deliver a talk on the story of William Wallace to mark 25 years since the release of the movie Braveheart.

Talk 2

On Thursday 18 June Stirling Actor Mirren Mack will join us to talk about her experience playing a lead role in hit BBC One drama series The Nest.

Talk 3

On Thursday 2 July we’ll be joined by Musician Saul Davies of the band James.

Talk 4

On Thursday 16 July local entrepreneur Laura Burt will discuss how her deli and catering business Turnip The Beet has evolved in reaction to the current crisis, and what it was like to work with pop star Harry Styles.

Talk 5

The final episode of the series on Thursday 30 July will focus on Stirling on Film. We’ll hear why Bannockburn House was chosen as the location for Channel 5 ghost story The Small Hand.
