JOIN A NEW PeRFORMANCE DRUMMING GROUP

Workshops 6pm-8pm

from Thurs 20th Nov – Thurs 18th Dec and then Thurs 19th Feb – Thurs 30th Apr followed by a performance on Fri 1st May

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to join a new community performance drumming ensemble in Stirling with Tolbooth and Albert Halls! This group welcomes individuals aged 16 and over, regardless of prior musical experience or ability. It’s all about coming together, making some noise, meeting new people, and trying something different in a fun, welcoming space.

Under the guidance of an experienced performance drumming tutor, participants will engage in 16 two-hour workshops leading up to Stirling’s inaugural Culture Night on Friday 1st May 2026, culminating in a powerful public spectacle. This ensemble will create a unique, exciting and mystical performance, drawing inspiration from this year’s Culture Night theme. The drum pieces will be collaboratively composed by the tutor and the group, ensuring a truly unique musical experience.

This isn’t just a community music group; it’s a chance to become part of a mesmerizing, theatrical force, celebrating Stirling’s unique past and exciting future.

The drumming will incorporate a diverse mix of styles, conjuring an unforgettable and powerful musical experience. While open to all, and no drumming experience necessary, participants should be able to perform and move while carrying a drum, with adaptations made to accommodate individual needs where possible.

Participants must be 16+ and book for the full term

The official events listings for the Culture Night programme will be available on the Your Stirling site.
