Stirling has been named the happiest place to live in Scotland in a UK poll.

More than 21,000 people across Britain were asked how they feel about various aspects of where they live.

Happiness measures included friendliness, community spirit, nature and green spaces, opportunities to develop skills and amenities such as schools, restaurants, shops and sports facilities.

Here are Scotland's top 10 happiest places to live, with the overall UK rankings in brackets:
