GRANTS FOR LOCAL ARTISTS TO AID RECOVERY

A series of small grants to help local artists recover from Covid-19 have been launched by Stirling’s Place Partnership project, thanks to funding from Creative Scotland and Stirling Council.

Scene Stirling, which is led by the city’s arts and cultural partners, is offering artists and creatives microgrants of up to £500 to help address the impact of the pandemic; with applications open from now until March 2021.

Kevin Harrison, Place Partnership Manager, said: “We’ve launched these small grants to help local artists continue their practice in the aftermath of Covid-19. Successful applicants will be paid quickly to help them bounce back.”

Open grants of up to £2500 are also available for larger projects that encourage collaboration and partnership.

Kevin added: “We’re also seeking proposals from artists and organisations that support our creative communities, create professional pathways, grow our sector and support a sustainable arts infrastructure in our city and rural areas. Deadlines for these larger grants are Friday 14 August and 20 November.”
